Pluviometer to measure the amount of water that falls with rain on a determined place at a certain time. As with the rest of Plantae's technology, data transmission is wireless and aimed at water use optimization. The pluviometer can adapt perfectly to the current hardware of Plantae's devices.
It records the start and end of a rainfall event and it notes the litres or cubic meters of water fallen each day. Therefore, the pluviometer allows the client to adapt irrigation to the exact rainfall on their field at a given moment.
Meteo station with sensor to measure relative humidity and environmental temperature. Wireless data transmission to the online platform. Moreover, Plantae uses the measurements to calculate the crop's Cold Hours and Thermal Integral.
The Thermal Integral defines heat availability for the development and ripening of the vegetable species. This allows making predictions of the crop's phonological phase, pests, diseases and best harvesting moment.
The Cold Hours determine the plants' low temperature accumulation period which note the dates of budbreak and the best dates for certain agronomic practices, risk of frost and possible harvest losses.
It can measure temperatures from -40ºC to 248ºC covering the normal temperature range even in the most extreme climates. The reading range for the humidity sensor goes from 0% to 99%.
Plantae's Meteo Station is covered by a protective case "Davis Vantage Pro 2" which gives it resistance against bad weather or plant protection products. Therefore, it is completely compatible with agronomic field activities. The approximate weight of the ensemble is 115.8 g.
